Amen brother I "love" preaching, teaching about God's grace. For too long I believe we have neglected this awesome gift that the Lord gives, freely. I have often said, tell others what God has done before you tell them what to do. I borrowed that from someone but what truth lies in that statement. Jn 3:16 is another verse we have put to memory but what about 3:17...Rom.8:1 goes along with it. God bless.
I think the important part is that forgiveness is a free gift. You cannot earn it. But that does not mean you don't have to do something to access it. Doing something to access forgiveness is not the same as earning it.

Absolutely! I think these verses show us the heart of the God we serve!

“Nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I clean.”
“Here Lord I Give Myself away, it is all that I can do.”
