What a blessing it is to receive this! I have never stopped to consider Psalm 90 from this biblical perspective. From Moses’ perspective. It speaks truth and reminds me to rely on God to teach me, guide me, and instruct me all the days of my life!
Thank you for sharing this message. It is a powerful reminder that the hardest math in the Bible is often not addition or multiplication, but subtraction. God frequently calls us to subtract pride, selfishness, bitterness, fear, and anything that keeps us from fully following Him. Jesus said in Luke 9:23, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Surrender is not always easy, but it is always worth it. As John the Baptist declared in John 3:30, He must increase, but I must decrease. The more we let go of ourselves, the more room we give God to work in our lives. Philippians 3:8 reminds us that Paul counted all things as loss for the excellency of knowing Christ. Thank you for this encouraging reflection. May God help us to lay aside every weight and draw closer to Him each day. True gain in the Christian life often begins with godly surrender, and through that surrender we discover the fullness of His grace, peace, and purpose. Hebrews 12:1 encourages us to lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily besets us, and to run with patience the race set before us. Sometimes God removes things from our lives not to harm us, but to help us grow stronger in faith and dependence on Him. When we release what we are holding onto, we make room for God's greater plans and blessings. May we trust His wisdom, surrender our desires to His will, and find our greatest joy in following Christ wholeheartedly each day. Amen.

Nice piece. For personal reasons I asked God the purpose for His redemption in my life. Today we all live at the end of the 6th day from creation or the 2nd day from Calvary. Our works will soon be judged at the Bar of Christ. There ones inheritance will be revealed. The outcome will either be as Moses, left unable to ascend the mountain(kingdom) or join the Bridegroom on His throne as a joint heir ruling over the earth from that Heavenly Kingdom. Use your days wisely.
“ Moses doesn’t pray let me count my days. He prays teach me to count them. There’s a difference, and we need to see it.” Thank you for pointing out the difference…it seems that we frequently feel if we are ‘let’ that will just automatically including learning, when in reality, perhaps, it is us using that to ‘teach’ someone else. Well..that may be just me, tho….
On another note, I find it interesting you needed to note that at age 52.3 years, AI responded with your number of days already passed. An old fashioned calculator tells me my days are now at 33,762.5….and I truly DID need to use a calculator for that ! Thank you again…
